I’m Mike Brunscheen. I’ve had the privilege of serving this city as your Commissioner, and before that, on the boards where the detailed, often behind-the-scenes work of local government gets done. I want to help Altamonte Springs preserve what works and make what comes next even better.
WHY I’M RUNNING
Altamonte Springs is worth protecting.
Strong public safety, responsible taxes, great parks, reliable roads, and services that have earned the respect of communities far beyond our city. That success didn't happen by accident, and it can't be taken for granted.
I'm running for Mayor with a simple goal: protect what works, improve what doesn't, and leave Altamonte Springs stronger for the next generation.
MIKE’S Priorities
Public Safety Comes First
A fully staffed, fully equipped police department starts with investing in the officers who keep our community safe. I will prioritize competitive pay, the resources officers need, and the support necessary to recruit and retain excellent law enforcement professionals.
Respecting Your Tax Dollars
Altamonte Springs has earned a reputation for disciplined budgeting and responsible tax rates. I will protect that tradition while continuing to ask clear questions about how taxpayer dollars are spent and making sure residents understand where their money is going.
Smart Growth, Stronger Community
Growth should make Altamonte Springs stronger, not simply bigger. I will welcome responsible investment while protecting neighborhoods and ensuring roads, utilities, and other infrastructure are planned and built ahead of demand, not after it.
