A first-class police department is the foundation of everything else. That means competitive pay, modern equipment and training, and the staffing levels needed to keep response times where residents expect them. Recruitment and retention should be a budget priority every year, not a crisis we address after good officers have already left.

Public Safety Comes First

Altamonte Springs has a long record of disciplined financial management and protecting that record means asking tough questions. What will this actually cost over 10 years? What happens when state requirements shift costs onto our residents? Are we getting the value we expect for what we spend? Residents deserve high-quality services, responsible budgeting, and clear answers about how their tax dollars are being used.

Respecting Your Tax Dollars

Investment is good for our city. Unmanaged growth isn't. I will welcome development that strengthens neighborhoods while insisting that roads, utilities, drainage, mobility, and parks and recreation keep pace with it. And when new technology can genuinely save money, improve safety, or solve a real problem for residents, we should use it. New for the sake of new isn't a strategy.
