MEET MIKE
Mike Brunscheen has proudly called Altamonte Springs home since 2009. He met his wife here in 2012, and together they are raising their two children in the same parks, schools, and neighborhoods that make this city such a special place to call home.
Long before seeking elected office, Mike believed in serving his community by doing the often-unseen work that helps a city thrive. He volunteered on the Code Enforcement Board, Personnel Administration Board, Municipal Planning Board, Charter Review Committee, and the Seminole County Sheriff's Office Civilian Review Board, gaining firsthand experience in the issues that matter most to residents.
In 2022, Mike was elected to the Altamonte Springs City Commission and was re-elected in 2024, earning the continued trust of the community he serves.
Professionally, Mike works in fundraising and community development at Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County & Greater Apopka, where he brings businesses, donors, and nonprofit partners together to expand opportunities for attainable homeownership. Prior to that, he spent nearly two decades helping small businesses and Fortune 500 companies build meaningful connections with their customers.
Committed to Community. Dedicated to Service.
For Mike, running for Mayor isn't about changing what makes Altamonte Springs great. It's about honoring the vision and dedication of those who built this community, preserving the high quality of life residents cherish, and ensuring the city remains a place where future generations can live, work, grow and thrive.
